About
Grape seed extract is a rich source of oligomeric proanthocyanidins (OPCs) with antioxidant capacity 20-50x greater than vitamins C and E. A 2016 meta-analysis of 16 RCTs (810 participants) found it significantly reduced systolic blood pressure by 6.08 mmHg, with greater effects in younger and obese participants.
How It Works
Rich source of oligomeric proanthocyanidins (OPCs) that inhibit LDL oxidation with potency exceeding vitamins C and E; enhances endothelial nitric oxide production; inhibits ACE in a manner similar to pharmaceutical ACE inhibitors; reduces platelet aggregation; strengthens capillary walls.
